Week two of Mod 6

Hey,

This week has been nudging at me as a mother, wife, student, but more importantly as a Christian. I feel the NEED
to start up a Youth Center. The issues I am having are finding all the resources, support, and time. I have a notebook.
A NOTEBOOK 70 page notebook full of information I gathered the last three months of my pregnancy with Jake.

This week I'm going to be dusting it off after nearly nine months and going to use it in my Assignment. What is my
Assignment? I have to make a spreadsheet on Excel of my "Dream" budget for starting up my future business.
I have already made a budget, spreadsheet, business plan, etc for a studio. I feel that I would be cheating to use that.
I do feel that if I write more on my Dream Youth Center - the closer I will be to accomplishing it.

Just when I thought I could get some sleep and work on my ideas tomorrow or so, I see an article posted by a friend
on Facebook.

My input:     "Teenagers always seem to be bored, don’t they?"

I'm not sure why, but reading this article kills a part of me.

I was bullied as a kid.
Eight years of my 13 years... I repeated fifth grade, because my grades began reflecting how
bullying started effecting me. I also started puberty, getting asked inappropriate questions on the school bus, staying home alone, and staying alone all in that year. After eight years of getting bullied I stopped caring. I became suicidal.

I went into a dark whole. It wasn't until 2010 when I truly got Saved by Christ. It was a process and really opened my whole outlook on life. I mean - I married a cowboy!

I was never great at large groups of people. I still have trouble keeping calm and collected. I have anxiety over my
homemade frosting that I tried making just "Pinterest" perfect.

Back to the Youth Center and Article: I want to make a change. Even if it is in a small area. I want to give kids HOPE
without throwing a bible at their head. Though I will admit - I may have needed that at one point. Another thing I
would love to do is start an art program to help build their portfolios for college and jobs. Have I mentioned that
this will be Non-Profit?

For now I must sleep.

Get to know yourself.

Truth be told... I still have trouble talking about myself. Even to myself.

Other than my Dannie Ann Photography, Pinterest, and Facebook I find
myself looking up more toys or clothes for my children or furniture for
their bedroom rather than things for myself. I am pathetic. The reason
I say this is because I find myself buying clearance items for the kids
instead of a new pair of shoes or more clothes for myself.

So... I made a list of six things I love!

1. Couture Fashion. I personally drool over dresses that I would and
could not wear personally. I guess it is because I was a barbie Girl
growing up. After I buy a WACOM board, I plan to use it to sketch
dresses on illustrator. Who knows? Maybe there are other teens that
are obsessed with fashion as much as I was when I was a teen.

2. Did you know I was a nerd? geek? dork? Who cares?
I personally find Dr. Who one of the most entertaining shows that
I've watched recently. I can also enjoy it while the kids are awake!
There isn't swearing or bloody violent scenes. It can be creepy,
but have you been to Wal-Mart recently? I can be accounted for.
After Jake I think I gave a few people nightmares with sleep deprivation.
You know watch or never heard of Dr. Who? Shame on you!
Not really... But it is a great show on BBC. I even have my
husband hooked. :P

3. I love snakes. Reptiles. Since I do not plan on ever owning
one, I do enjoy the beautiful jewelry that was inspired from
other snake lovers. I hint often to my husband that if he ever
has the urge to buy me jewelry there are many ideas on Pinterest.

4. You're never too old for a Christmas List! Mine just happens
to all be in one place: Photojojo! That's right I said it... I love
everything that photojojo has to offer and more.

5. Sewing. I love the idea of sewing. Believe me I do! However,
I am no expert and am still learning how to. One day I will master
the tension and not always start screaming at the wall when it
messes up. Thank goodness for fellow crafters and bloggers.
If I'm not editing photos, working on paintings or trying
to put the kids to sleep for the night. I try to read Tips and more.
Oh, one day...

6. I confess I am addicted to Fonts. My computer will explode
one day for having too many fonts. You know you're an addict
when you use font names in sentences. Especially when talking
with your spouse. I guess I'm lucky he's going for Graphic Design as well. ;)
For more proof of my font addiction visit my Font board on Pinterest.

There you go six random crazy things that I enjoy.

Feel free to comment.

Hey Y'all,

I really wanted to share something more personal.

I am going to work on learning how to use my tripod.
Than again Jake almost knocked it over
a couple of times. Thankfully I have quick reflexes
when I need them. Last night on my Facebook
feed, I saw a lot of selfies! Looking through my
albums, I haven't taken a picture of myself in over
5 months. Right now, I am almost 9 weeks along.
This is going to get interesting finding maternity
clothes that fit a big belly. Not from being heavy.
My belly just gets HUGE!
At 38 weeks with Jake - I think everyone was
convinced I was going to have twins. I had a hard
time finding shirts that would cover my belly.

Ember was trying to get Jake in the picture with
mommy. After the camera flashed she was excited.

So I pulled up my Photobooth on my MacBook.

Ember learned really fast how to push the big red
button that captured more photos.

It was so much more entertaining to add the filters.

I have decided that I am going to focus
more on myself,  for a couple months.

Starting with less advertising my
Dannie Ann Photography.

I am also going to try to get a pedicure.

Oh the joys of mommy-hood and
 ingrown toenails.

Maybe take up sewing? More reason
to go to JoAnn's ;)

RUN!

Hey Y'all,

I've been on a vacation/trip to NorthWest Arkansas.

Both of my babies are sick. It started out allergies during our trip
to Arkansas. Now Ember has a sinus infection and Jake has
RSV with a sinus infection. I'm trying to keep a head on my
shoulders, though I think my almost 8 month old is going to kick
it off as I am trying to suck all the snot out of his nose.

I quickly realized how many times I did not take my camera.
SHAME ON ME!

SO HERE IS A LIST:
1. WELCOME HUGS
2. SELFIES
3. DINNER TOGETHER
4. WITH SIBLINGS
5. WITH PARENTS
6. WITH GRANDPARENTS
7. ZOO
8. STROLLER
9. SOUVENIRS
10. THE OOPS (we have many)
11. AWESOME BUILDINGS
12. EMBER PLAYING
13. SELFIE WITH HUSBAND
14. THINGS THAT AMUSED US
15. GOODBYE HUGS

This list could go on a long time but sadly it is depressing
for me to think of all the moments that should have been
captured. After the 13 - 14 hour trip back home, I had
to wake up after a few hour nap to get ready for an
ultrasound. A week after I miscarried, I got pregnant!

So here is the little bundle:

The tiny "blob" on the left. God has given us another
blessing to enjoy. We are excited and a bit crazy.
I am roughly 8 weeks along. The due date:
MARCH 17, 2014

We are going to have holiday babies!

During the trip I didn't have any morning sickness!
After getting back, that is a different story.

I didn't realize how much dust this house collected.
I know, one hundred year old home, it's OLD!
I don't think I'll get this house spotless for another
few weeks. Oh well, it will keep me busy.

For now, RUN!

Reason: SNOT! ><

Work & Play

Hey Y'all,

This past week I've stayed at my mother in laws after having a
pinched nerve. There have been times where I can barely stay
awake due to the pain. Standing is not much of an option. With
this pain, I feel rather useless or a bad mother. Luckily I have
help and I am trying to keep positive. My husband is taking me
to the chiropractor today, let us pray that it helps!

Ember has been having fun with blowing bubbles and playing
with "games" such as Connect 4 and Operation. Even though
she is only two years old, I am impressed! I can't wait to teach
her how to play the games.

As for my little man - he is pulling up and trying to walk
away from the couch only to fall on his bottom. It's so cute.

While being down, I am working on templates to add to
the ETSY site. I am hoping to pick up work through
llustrations or paintings to pay for college.

Quick Recipes for Canned Spinach

Canned Spinach anyone?

I love Spinach but canned is sometimes hard to just open up and eat straight out of the can. Before you refuse to eat spinach because of this HORRIFYING experience... Try this dip.

What to do with that rest over canned spinach?

I made mini calzones using crescent rolls.
Grease your pan, preheat oven to 375 F (or package)
Roll out four. Cover in pizza sauce or left over spaghetti sauce.
Mix together spinach and parmesan cheese and sprinkle on top
of sauce, add chicken or pepperoni.
Add more cheese (I used three cheese package)
Fold two halves together.  Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Wa La
Not the prettiest looking thing in the world but my toddler, Ember ate two!

No crescent rolls? Only canned biscuits?

NO FEAR!

I smushed and kneaded the biscuits together to make a crust.
Same as above ^
Grease your pan, preheat oven to 400 F (or package)
Roll out crust. Cover in pizza sauce or left over spaghetti sauce.
Mix together spinach and parmesan cheese and sprinkle on top
of sauce, add chicken or pepperoni.
Add more cheese (I used three cheese package)
Bake for 10. Try to cover most of crust. (Biscuits are so bland)

Quick recipes and fun to do with toddlers or even after school snack!

Enjoy!

Praying

Hello!

I've had trouble thinking of a way to word this. I have gained roughly ten pounds in the last two months. (GASP!) I was doing so good loosing weight after my son and dreaming a beautiful bathing suit for this summer. Now I'm changing the bathing suit to a maternity one. WHAT?! I know..
It's undeniable that I have morning sickness and a "tumor" growing in my tummy.

Rephrase: Not a tumor, but I am pregnant. Tests were showing negative for a month  or more. Even after a blood test I finally had an ultrasound. I have yet visit the OBGYN. I have an appointment next week. I got a phone call from a nurse less than an hour after the ultrasound with the results that I was indeed pregnant. Also, I needed more blood-work done because it may or may not be ectopic. When calling to make the appointment for the OBGYN, I was told to say that it was about a cyst. Apparently the cyst on my right ovary has gotten larger. We are leaving everything in God's Hands.
